PRESENTLY...

Learning the truth about the connection between herself and the creature that called herself "Triumph" had taken far longer than the Draconian Queen had wished... But in the end, even without the help of most of her guard, she had managed.

It was hard to tell if a thirst for power and her former glory was what drove her, or if perhaps it was the lingering hope that the Gods didn't in fact mean to punish her by having her reborn the sister of the man she loved. Of course she'd like to think it was a means of making a legitimate relationship between herself and Artemian possible... but the closer to the solution she came, the more she was doubting this motive.

After a good deal of digging, quests back to Arcondelial, and cornering various mystical creatures... the answer became clear. That creature she had so kindly saved all those years ago was the exact creature that inhabited a body meant for Sol herself.  Unforunately, not even the mighty seraph-lioness, Jahoel, could say whether death for Taelesse would restore the Queen's shattered soul. All the oracle had done was make light of the necessity Sol had felt to save the girl, the connection her Artemian had felt to her, and the strange abilities she had taken upon turning.

All of this left the Draconian feeling helpless, a feeling that didn't suit her in the least... and so.. She made her way past the darkest depth of Arcondelial, seeking out the only force that could possibly aid her, her true father.

Soleil hadn't seen the Sun God since the day he had cast her away two thousand and some years prior. Of course, his voice was one she heard for a thousand years as she floated in the void without a body, and at the time she had been comforted by it. Right up until she believed him to be punishing her farther, once more picking up the mantle of rebellious daughter. Help from this man was not something she ever intended to ask for... and thus, she was more than surprised to see him reinhabit the powerful Gazelle-like form she had once seen from him, coming to answer her call on the alternate floating island of Zephiroth.

And you're here and you're alive ....

and you're the untapped memory of another life

With great warning of the havoc it could potentially wreak on her body and mind, the God instructed his creation on how to reunite the pieces of her shattered soul, a quest that would turn out to be far easier than expected... minus dragging the abomination along.  Giving her the final key to her ultimate freedom, he had said his goodbye, explaining that this would be the final time a request for his presence would be honored, and reminding her of the 1000 years the Gods had forced on her the last time she had misused their trust.

And so, the Draconian Queen returned to Guildereim, scooping up the creature, abusing the compulsion she had over all of her Draconians to return to Arcondelial with her... Back to the magical pool that had always allowed her form regenerations, and into the eerily glowing waters the two went.

What emerged were two entirely separate beings, no longer linked by any remants of souls.  Taelesse rose from the waters without even the slightest hint of Draconian influence, finally her own person... not weighted below to soul of a Queen, always trying to force its dominance.

Soleil on the other hand, rose from the waters whole once more, finally in the body that the Gods had gifted her with.  She had lost her body once for blatantly dismissing their will, but from the ashes of the fire she had caused rose a mighty race, and a united kingdom, and due to this, she would now be rewarded.  Many things were to come for the Draconians now that their Queen was stepping back into her rightful place. The return of the Orsnagai, dragons, and any number of new abilities waited for them. Only time would tell where their story would lead from here.
